Ibinalita ni Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian na nadagdagan ng 750,000 na bagong benepisyaryo ang listahan ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Ayon sa bagong upong kalihim, naging posible ang pagdagdag ng bagong benepisyaryo dahil sa mga grumaduate na 800,000 na nauna nang nilinis ni dating DSWD Sec. Erwin Tulfo.
“I have to thank and give credit to Secretary Tulfo kasi sinimulan na niya linisin ang listahan, that’s the reason why may mga grumaduate from the 4Ps and that’s why mayroon na ring on-going enrollment to replace the ones na mga grumadaute” pahayag ni Sec. Gatchalian.
Sa isang panayam ni Sec. Gatchalian sa GMA News, ipinaliwanag nito na dahil na maikokonsiderang mahirap ang mga grumaduate at natanggal na sa listahan ng 4Ps.
“Itong mga grumaduate, na-meet na nila yung mga batayan na ang depinisyon sa kanila non-poor na sila. Hindi na sila mahirap at pwede na natin ibigay yung slot nila sa iba pang mga nangangailangan” aniya.
Dagdag ng DSWD, nasa 1.3 milyon benepisyaryo ng 4Ps ang patuloy na sumasailalim sa revalidation dahil sa outdated na listahan.
Matatandaan, sinabi ni Gatchalian na bilang kalihim ng DSWD ay tututukan at bibigyang prayoridad ng ahensya ang pagsasaayos ng listahan ng 4Ps.
