Bilang tugon pagpigil sa child pornography sa Pilipinas, mahigit 400,000 na mga child pornography link at website ang matagumpay na naharang o ibin-block ng Globe noong nakaraang taon.
Sa datos ng Globe telecom, umabot sa 399,540 URLs at 1,947 domains na may child porn content ang na-block noong 2022. Mas mataas ito 18 beses sa 22,371 na mga sites na naharang noong 2021.
“Globe stands firmly behind the government’s anti-child pornography law and is committed to doing our part in protecting children from the dangers they may face on the internet. We have always been at the forefront of the fight against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, and we will continue to take strong measures to restrict access to illegal sites,” ayon sa pahayag ni Anton Bonifacio, Chief Information Security Officer ng Globe.
Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 9775 or the “Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, pinahihintulutan ang mga internet service providers (ISP) na mag-install ng software na mag-block ng access at transmittal ng child pornography.
