Parehong hindi na nakalaro ang team captain ng bawat koponan na si LeBron James at Giannis Antetokounmpo dahil sa kanilang inindang injury. Natamo ni James ang kanyang injury habang ito’y sumabak na dumakdak ngunit nagkamali sa paghawak sa court at na-injured ang kanyang kanang kamay habang si Antetokounmpo ay meron nang iniindang injury bago pa mag All Star Game.
Nanguna para sa Team Giannis ang Boston star player na si Jayson Tatum na gumawa ng 55 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. Dahil sa halimaw na ginawa ni Tatum ay nabasag niya ang NBA All Star game record na 52 points na ginawa dati ni Lakers Center player na si Anthony Davis.
Samantalang nanguna naman para sa Team LeBron ang star player din ng Boston na si Jaylen Brown na kumanada ng 35 points and 14 rebounds.
Nakapag-ambag naman ang Team Captain na Si LeBron James ng 13 points, 4 assist, and 1 rebound bago siya umupo dahil sa nakuha niyang injury
Sa huli ay pinarangalan si Jayson Tatum ng Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP award.
