Hot at trending topic ngayon sa Kongreso ang resignation ni Rep. Jeffrey Soriano bilang isa sa mga nominee ng ACT-CIS Partylist.
Sa plenary session ng kamara kahapon, Pebrero 22, kinumpirma ni Majority Leader and Zambonga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe ang pagbitiw ni Soriano. Wala namang nagtanong o kumontra sa resignation ng mambabatas.
“We are in receipt of a letter dated Feb. 6, 2023 from Rep. Jeffrey Soriano of ACT-CIS party-list informing the honorable Speaker, Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, of his resignation as member of the House of Representatives,” ayon kay Dalipe.
“Mr. Speaker, I move that we accept the resignation of Rep. Jeffrey Soriano, and for the secretary-general to be instructed to drop from the roll of members of the House of Representatives, Rep. Soriano, effective immediately,” dagdag pa ng kongresman.
Dahil dito, palaisipan ngayon sa pulitika kung si dating Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Erwin Tulfo ang papalit sa nabakanteng pwesto sa ACT-CIS at sa Kongreso. Habang sinusulat ang balitang ito, wala pang anunsyo kung sino ang papalit kay Soriano. Wala ring kumpirmasyon si Tulfo tungkol dito.
