Inanunsyo na ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SMP) kahapon Pebrero 23 ang kanilang final 12 na maglalaro para sa huling window ng Fiba World Cup Qualifiers na gaganapin mamayang gabi sa Philippine Arena.
Pangungunahan ng bagong naturalized player na si Justin Brownlee ang national team upang makabawi sa team Lebanon na tumalo sa Pilipinas noong agosto 2022 sa score na 85-81.
Makakasama ni Brownlee ang mga Japan B. League boys na sina Kiefer Ravena, Thirdy Ravena, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. , Dwight Ramos, at ang nagbabalik na si Jordan Heading na huling naglaro sa Gilas noong 2021. Kasama din sa lineup ang mga PBA player na sina Scottie Thompson, Junemar Fajardo, Jamie Malonzo, CJ Perez, at si Calvin Oftana.
Manggagaling naman sa Ateneo Blue Eagles ang center rookie player na si Mason Amos kung saan siya ang magiging kapalitan ni Junemar Fajardo pagdating sa depensa. Habang sina Schonny Winston, Jerom Lastimosa, at Kevin Quiambao naman ay magiging reserve para sa laban ng Pilipinas at Lebanon.
Inaasahan mamaya na magiging dehado ang Gilas Pilipinas dahil sa height advantage na meron ang Lebanon. Ganunpaman, sinabi ng center ng Meralco Bolts na si Raymond Almazan na homecourt advantage naman ang lamang ng Pilipinas.
Ang parehong koponan ay pasok na sa Fiba World Cup at wala ng bearing kahit na matalo o manalo sa laban.
