Wagi ang De La Salle Lady Archers kontra Ateneo Blue Eagles sa ginanap na UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament nitong linggo, Marso 5, sa Mall of Asia Arena (MOA).
Tinalo ng Lady Archers ang kanilang katunggali sa straight sets 25-16, 25-20, 25-12. Nanguna ang rookie ng DLSU na si Angel Canino na nakagawa ng 23 points habang nakapag-ambag naman si Jolina Dela Cruz ng 13 points. Ito na ang ikatlong panalo ng De la Salle Lady Archers sa UAAP Season.
“I think we all deserve the POG (Player of the Game recognition) because all of us contributed inside the court and I can’t say anything (bad) about the team. I’m proud of the team because we did our best. We just kept on pushing from start to finish and we proved to everyone that we’re capable of this win,” saad ni Canino.
Nakagawa naman para sa Blue Eagles si Faith Nisperos ng 11 points para manguna sa kanyang koponan.
Dahil sa pagka-panalong ito ng La Salle, pang-una sila sa standing na merong record na 3-0 habang bumagsak sa panlimang standing ang Ateneo.
Huling nanalo ang Blue Eagles sa kanilang karibal na Lady Archers noong April 8, 2017 sa UAAP Season 79, round 2 ng regular season.
