Pinag-iingat ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang mga Filipino overseas workers (OFW) na mapapaso na ang kontrata sa kanilang mga employer.
Ayon sa Immigration, sila ang target ngayon ng mga sindikato ng human trafficking. Ibinunyag ito ng ahensya matapos nilang madiskubre ang nangyari sa dalawang OFW na biktima ng human traffickers.
Base sa sumbong ng mga biktima, pinangakuan sila ng trabaho bilang call center agents sa Thailand habang nagtatrabaho pa sila sa United Arab Emirates (UAE). Nahikayat sila sa alok na P48,000 na sahod kada buwan.
Subalit nang makarating sa Thailand, dinala daw sila sa katabing bansang Myanmar at doon pinagtrabaho bilang mga crypto scammers.

Muli namang nagbabala ang Immigration na huwag agad maniniwala sa mga trabahong inaalok sa social media at sa halip ay mag-apply at dumaan sa Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
