Nahaharap sa kasong four counts of murder si Negros Oriental 3rd district Representative Arnulfo Teves at 5 pa kaugnay sa pagpatay kay ex-Negros Oriental board member Miguel Dungog noong Marso 2019.
Kaninang hapon, Marso 7, dumating ang mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) kasama ang pamilya ng mga biktima sa tanggapan ng Department of Justice (DOJ) upang ihain ang mga kaso.
Ayon sa tumatayong abogado ng mga complainant na si Atty. Levito Baligod, apat katao na naging kasangkapan sa nasabing pagpatay ang nagsumite ng kanilang mga salaysay upang tumayong saksi sa kaso.
“Ang witnesses namin ‘yung nagmamaneho ng motor kung saan sumakay yung gunman, yung isa naman yung lookout nila o spotter,” wika ni Baligod.
“Allegedly they were summoned by Congressman Teves, he gave them instruction to assassinate these victims.”
Ayon sa mga saksi, pulitika ang motibo sa pamamaslang kung saan binayaran umano sila ni Teves ng halagang P50,000 upang itumba ang mga biktima.
“Binayaran sila and at the same time, regular workers sila, ani Baligod. “Binanggit nila kung sino yung nagbibigay ng pera sa kanila,” dagdag nito.
Kasalukuyang hawak ng mga awtoridad ang mga saksi habang patuloy na gumugulong ang kaso.
