Malapit nang maresolba ang imbestigasyon sa kaso ng pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo ayon kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla kahapon, Marso 8.
Ito ay matapos ibinunyag ng isa sa mga naarestong suspek na nakausap ng kalihim ang utak sa likod ng nangyaring pamamaslang.
“Meron na hong isang statement akong nakita na pointing to a mastermind. Walang motive na sinabi pero yung kausap nila was on video ,” pagbubunyag ng kalihim.
“I can say that the end is near, malapit na ho itong maisarado except for that all the perpetrators have not rounded up,” dagdag pa nito.
Tumanggi naman si Remulla na magbigay ng iba pang detalye ukol sa pagkatao ng sinasabing mastermind.
“I cannot point to anybody yet but the fact is meron ng tinuturo na naka-usap sa video ,” ani nito.
Ayon kay Remulla, muling sasailalim sa pagsusuri ang mga naarestong suspek.
“We have to evaluate the video properly,” ani nito. “Kukuha lang kami ng lawyers for them to be present when we question them”.
Sa kasalukuyan, apat na suspek na ang hawak ng mga awtoridad kung saan nasa mahigit sampu ang pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa pagpatay kay Degamo at walong iba pa noong March 4.
Samantala, tinitingnan naman ng DOJ ang mga posibilidad na sangkot din ang mga suspek sa pamamaslang kay Degamo sa pagpatay kay dating Negros Oriental board member Miguel Dungog noong Marso 2019
“If we are talking with the same group then we are willing to dialogue with them to see if we can help each other,” wika ng tagapagsalita ng DOJ na si Atty. Mico Clavano.
Matatandaang nagsampa ng kasong multiple murder kamakailan ang Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) kasama ang pamilya ni Dungog sa DOJ laban kay Negros Oriental 3rd district Representative Arnolfo Teves at 5 pa kaugnay sa mga pamamaslang noong 2019.
