Halos kalahati ng mga adult Filipinos ang naniniwalang aangat ang ekonomiya ng bansa sa susunod na 12 buwan, ayon sa survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) noong Disyembre 2022.
Ayon sa malawakang survey ng SWS na isinagawa noong Disyembre 10 hanggang 14, 2022, 48 porsyento ng mga Pilipino ang naniniwalang uusbong ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas , 33% ang nagsabing hindi ito magbabago, habang 9 porsyento naman ang nagsabing babagsak ito.
Ang SWS ay gumamit ng terminong “optimists” para sa mga naniniwalang gaganda ang ekonomiya, “neutral” para sa mga nagsasabing ito ay mananatiling pareho, at “pessimists” naman para sa mga nag-iisip na lalala ito.
Ang lumabas na net economic optimism score ngayon taon ay +40 kung saan ito ay kinokonsidera na “excellent” ng SWS.
Ito ay isang puntos na mas mababa sa “excellent” +41 noong Oktubre 2022.
“It has been at excellent levels since December 2021, ranging from +40 to +50. It used to be mediocre -9 in July 2020, mediocre -5 in September 2020, and high +24 in November 2020, during the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic,” saad ng SWS.
“As of December 2022, net economic optimism is highest in Metro Manila (+47), followed by Mindanao (+45), Balance Luzon (or Luzon outside Metro Manila) (+40), and the Visayas (+27),” dagdag nito.
Ang mga numerong ito ay nagmula sa isinagawang face-to-face interview ng SWS sa 1,200 katao sa buong bansa na may edad 18 taon pataas.
