Sa napipintong bakbakan ng dalawang undefeated boxing world champion, isa lamang kina Naoya “the monster” inoue at Stephen fulton ang mananatiling may malinis na record.
Parehong walang talo ang dalawang superbantam weight kung saan mayroong 24-0 si Inoue habang si Fulton naman ay may kartadang 21-0.
Kamakailan, binitawan ng dating undisputed bantam weight champion ang kanyang WBC,WBA, WBO, AT IBF title upang simulant ang kanyang bagong karera sa 122lbs category.
Dito ay masusubukan ni Inoue ang lakas at galing ng defending na si Fulton.
Ayon kay Inoue na mas lamang si Fulton kesa sa kanya dahil sa haba at tangkad nito. Pero naniniwala siya na matatalo niya si Fulton gamit ang kanyang bilis at lakas.
“He is a taller boxer with a more advantageous reach. It might be hard to finish him, but I’d like to concentrate to be victorious, I believe I am more powerful and faster than Fulton. I don’t know at this moment what game plan I will take against Fulton” saad ni Inoue.
Sinabi naman ni Fulton na susundin niya ang gameplan upang mag-wagi sa laban nilang dalawa.
“Inoue is a great fighter. Former three-weight world champion, undisputed (at bantamweight). He’s a great fighter. I can’t take nothing away from him. As far as fighting him, I feel like we just both have to get in there with our gameplans, do our job and I’ll come out victorious. I feel like I have the style to beat anyone. I can adjust, adapt, do whatever to beat anyone.”
Sa huli ay sinabi ni Fulton na abangan nalang ang kanilang sagupaan at paniguradong magiging magandang laban ito.
Maraming mga taga-hanga ang naniniwala na ang labang Inoue at Fulton ang magiging kaabang abang sa mundo ng boxing.
