Hinahanap na ng mga awtoridad ang mga security personnel na umabsent sa araw na mapaslang Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
Ayon sa Philippine National Police, ang mga nasabing security personnel ay mula hanay PNP at Armed Forces of the Philippines at isinama na sa imbestigasyon sa krimen.
Sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, na malapit na nilang matapos ang imbestigasyon dahil sa mga rebelasyon ng mga nahuling suspek.
Una nag utos ng joint task force (JTF) si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. para sa mapabilis ang imbestigasyon sa kaso ni Degamo.
Kabilang sa JTF ay binubuo ng dalawang brigade at dalawang batalyon ng AFP at PNP provincial police.
Samantala, isang task force din ang binuo ng gobyerno upang lansagin ang ang mga private armies ng ilang mga pulitiko.
Pinapangunahan ito ng Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of National Defense, Department of Social Welfare and Development at PNP.
