Maglalaro ang San Miguel Beermen sa playoffs ng PBA na wala ang presenya ng kanilang best player na si June Mar Fajardo dahil sa tinamo nitong injury.
Ayon sa team manager ng San Miguel Beermen na si Gee Abanilla, nagkaroon ng Medial Collateral Ligament o MCL si Fajardo kaya’t hindi ito muna ito makakapag-laro.
“He has an [medial collateral ligament] injury and will be out for about six weeks,” saad ni Abanilla.
Nakuha ni Fajardo ang kanyang injury sa katatapos lang na East Asia Super League kung saan ay nakabanggan niya ang import ng Ryukyu na si Jack Cooley. Hindi na siya nakabalik pa ng paglalaro dahil sa nakuha niyang injury.
Kasalukuyang nasa pangatlong pwesto ang Beermen na may record na 7-2 sa elimination. Sunod na makakalaban ng San Miguel ang NLEX sa Wednesday at Rain or Shine sa Friday.
Sa pagkawala ni Fajardo sa SMB, aasa ang koponan kina Mo Tautuaa, Rodney Brondial, at Vic Manuel upang defensahan ang kanilang koponan.
