Arestado ang isang miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group na nagtatago sa Quiapo, Manila.
Kinilala ang akusado na si Muktar Yusop Maani alyas Benjamin/Pa Gari, 38-anyos na nasakote ng mga tauhan ng Anti-Terrorism Task Group – Regional Intelligence Division at Barbosa Police Station, MPD Nadakip si Maani sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inisyo ni Presiding Judge Toribio Ilao, Jr sa kasong six counts ng Kidnapping for Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention.
Ayon sa impormasyon, si Maani ay aktibong miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) na nag-ooperate sa mga lugar ng Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu at Metro Manila.
Kabahagi din siya sa mga gun-for-hire syndicate, kidnap for ransom, at terorismo.
Noong Agosto 20, 2002, nasangkot siya sa pagkidnap sa mga miyembro ng Jehova’s Witness sa Patikul, Sulu.
