Nananatiling sapat ang suplay ng isda sa bansa para sa darating na Semana Santa, pero posible na tumaas ang presyo nito.
Ito ang iniulat ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) sa kabila ng epekto ng pagkalat ng oil spill sa Mimaropa at Western Visayas region.
Ayon kay BFAR Spokesperson Nazario Briguera, nasa peak season pa ang fishing activity dahilan upang nanatiling mataas pa din supply ng isda hanggang sa darating na mahal na araw.
Pero ang limitadong supply ng mga isda sa bahagi ng Oriental Mindoro ang nakikitang magiging dahilan sa pagtaas ng presyo.
Kasalukuyang ipinagbabawal pa din ang pangingisda sa karagatan ng Oriental Mindoro dahil sa oil spill.
Patuloy naman ang pagbibigay ng tulong ng pamahalaan sa mga apektadong mangingisda.
