Iba’t-ibang mga benepisyo ang maaaring magamit ng mga soon-to-be-mother sa kanilang panganganak sa tulong ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Sa isang pahayag, muling pinaalalahanan ng ahensya ang mga klase ng benepisyo na maaaring mapakinabangan ng mga kababaihan na malapit nang maging magulang.
“Mayroon po tayong iba’t-ibang packages na maaring i-avail ng ating expectant mothers kasama na ang Maternity Care Package (MCP), Normal Spontaneous Delivery (NSD) Package, at Antenatal Care Package (ACP),” saad ni PhilHealth acting president and chief executive officer Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr.
Ayon kay Ledesma, ang MCP ay isang kumpletong serbisyo para sa mga babaeng manganganak sa panahon ng antenatal, buong yugto ng kanilang labor, normal delivery, at agarang post-partum period.
Saklaw din dito ang mga follow-up visits sa loob ng 72 oras at isang linggo pagkatapos ng panganganak.
“This package may be availed in hospitals for a case rate of P6,500 or in infirmaries, dispensaries, birthing homes, and maternity clinics for an P8,000 case rate,” wika nito.
Samantala, ang NSD Package naman ay sumasaklaw para sa mga normal low-risk vaginal deliveries at post-partum period sa loob ng unang 72 oras at 7 araw pagkatapos ng panganganak.
Bukod dito, kabilang din sa mga benepisyo ang caesarian section, complicated vaginal delivery, breech extraction, at vaginal delivery after caesarian section sa mga akreditadong ospital.
“Ang case rate po ng caesarian section ay P19,000, P9,700 kung complicated vaginal deliver, at P12,120 kung sa breech delivery at vaginal delivery after caesarian section,” dagdag nito.
