Ito ay matapos mag-viral sa isang social media platform ang post ni Cham Tanteras matapos siyang maiwan ng eroplano.
Naging mabusisi daw sa pagtatanong ang immigration officer na nakaharap ni Tanteras at hinahanapan pa siya ng yearbook, graduation photo. Tinanong din siya tungkol sa estado ng relasyon ng kanyang mga magulang.
Nauna nang humingi ng paumanhin ang Immigration tungkol dito.
“We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused the Filipina passenger and other Filipino passengers.”
Sa pahayag naman ni Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval, nagsagawa na sila ng imbestigasyon sa tinutukoy na immigration officer.
“He denied asking for a yearbook photo but perhaps he was interested in knowing the background of the person who went viral.”
Dagdag pa ni Sandoval na inilipat na nila sa backend office ang nasabing officer.
Naunang sinabi ni BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco na kasalukuyan silang naghihigpit sa mga paalis na byahero dahil sa banta ng human trafficking at illegal recruitment.
Pinaalalahanan naman niya ang kanyang mga tauhan, “to conduct their inspections professionally, and in an efficient manner, to prevent future incidents from occurring.”
