Nasa P1.37 bilyon halaga ng ilegal na droga ang nasabat ng gobyerno sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, ayon kay Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil.
Ayon kay Garafil, ang nasabing halaga ng droga ay nakumpiska mula sa mga operasyong isinagawa ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa pangunguna ni Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo mula Nobyembre 2022 hanggang Pebrero ngayong taon.
“PDEA, the lead agency in the campaign against illegal drugs, said these operations were launched in adherence to the Marcos administration’s 3-point drug war approach: mapping and prevention, cure, and enforcement,” wika ni Garafil.
Base sa ulat na isinumite sa Palasyo, nasa 728 drug personalities ang natiklo, kabilang ang 548 high-value targets (HVTs) sa 405 operations na isinagawa ng PDEA mula Nov. 21, 2022 hanggang Pebrero 28, 2023.
Nakumpiska sa nasabing mga operasyon ay 177.21 kilogram ng shabu o methamphetamine hydrochloride; 200.22 kilo ng tuyong dahon and bloke ng marijuana; 565,150 piraso ng halamang marijuana; 1,687 gramo ng cocaine, at 16,782 tablet ng ecstasy.
Bukod dito, nasa 79 drug dens at 12 marijuana plantations din ang nilusob ng PDEA na nagresulta sa 24 high-volume seizures mula sa 115 high-impact operations na inilunsad ng ahensya.
