Hinimok ni Senador Francis Tolentino nitong Lunes ang National Bureau of Investigation na tingnan ang doktor na umano’y tumanggi na magbigay ng tulong medikal sa umano’y biktima ng hazing na si John Matthew Salilig.
Sa pagdinig ng Senado, sinabi ni Tolentino na batay sa affidavit ng isa sa limang suspek sa kasong Salilig na boluntaryong sumuko sa NBI na si Ralph Benjamin Tan alyas “Scottie”, tumanggi ang doktor na tulungan si Salilig.
“Nu’ng araw po na ‘yon, nung alas nueve ng gabi, ‘yung kasama ni Salilig na si Lee ay sinundo ng kanyang pinsan na isa ring doktor. Buhay pa po nito si Matthew subalit tinanong ni Ralph Benjamin Tan si Lee kung pwede tumulong yung kanyang pinsan na doktor para asistihan si Matthew. Ang sabi po ng doktor hindi pwede,” saad ni Tolentino.
Ayon kay NBI agent Joseph Eufemio Martinez, hinahanap pa nila ang pagkakakilanlan ng doktor.
“We are already trying to identify the person involved, the doctor. Apparently, si Ralph Benjamin Tan he cannot identify kung sino talaga yung doktor. So we are trying to pursue other information kung san po namin ma-identify yung doktor,” saad ni Martinez.
Habang nangako ang ahente ng NBI ng karagdagang aksyon sa usapin, sinabi ni Tolentino na dapat kasuhan ang doktor dahil sa paglabag sa Hippocratic Oath.
