Ibinunyag ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla na nasa gitnang silangang asya lamang si Negros Oriental 3rd district Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr.

Pinayuhan naman ni Remulla na umuwi na ng bansa si Teves at harapin ang mga alegasyon laban sa kanya kaugnay sa pagpaslang kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at dating board member Miguel Dungog.
“I would advise him to go home. Kung talagang wala syang kasalanan, lalabas sya,” dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Remulla, malalagay sa blue notice ng International Criminal Police si Teves matapos madawit ang kanyang pangalan sa pagkamatay ng mga nabanggit na pulitiko.
“A person under investigation for a crime may be put on blue notice. So, admittedly, he [Teves] is under investigation for the Degamo murder and other people. We will put him on Blue Notice,” ani Remulla.
Samantala, binigyan kahapon ng House Committee on Ethics and Privileges si Teves ng 24 oras upang lumitaw sa Kamara bago mag alas kwatro o alas singko ng hapon ngayong araw.
Kung hindi ito susunod, mahaharap sa karampatang mga disciplinary sanctions ang mambabatas, ayon kay Committee chair Felimon Espares.
