Sinabi ni Chris Newsome sa post-game interview na gutom sila this conference matapos ang hindi magandang run ng kanilang team noong huling season ng PBA.
Ayon kay Newsome, gusto niyang makabawi ngayong season pagkatapos hindi makalaro noong huling kampanya ng Meralco kung saan ay nagtamo ito ng injury.
“I miss last conference. It was tough just watch and be on the sidelines and watch and you know just be a vocal leader but of course you know that wasn’t a feeling that we like or enjoyed not making the playoffs and I think that made us hungry coming into this season” saad ni Newsome.
Idinagdag din ni Newsome ang rason kung bakit maganda ang takbo ng Meralco Bolts ngayong season.
“we were familiar with KJ (Mcdaniels) already so you know that helped a lot with our chemistry and now it’s just me getting back to hundred percent so I can actually contribute to the team” dagdag pang sinabi ni Newsome.
