Nasa mahigit 2.6 milyon na mga miyembro ang nakatanggap ng cash loans o short-term loan mula sa Pag-IBIG Fund noong nakaraang taon.
Sa ulat ng Pag-IBIG, umabot sa P53.76 bilyon na cash loan ang inilabas nila para sa 2,612,491 na miyembro noong 2022.
Halos 21% ang itinaas nito kumpara noong taong 2021 na umabot sa mahigit P44 bilyon.
Ipinagmalaki din ng Pag-IBIG na tumaas ng 24% ang mga miyembrong nakinabang sa short-term loans sa nakalipas na taon.
Ayon kay Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) at 11 member Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees, patuloy nilang pinaiigting ang mga hakbang upang makapagbigay ng magandang serbisyo sa mga miyembro ng Pag-IBIG sa pamamagitan ng short-term loan program.
“We at Pag-IBIG Fund exert all efforts in providing our members with assistance on their financial needs. We are happy to note that through our Short-Term Loan Program, we were able to aid more than 2.6 million Filipino workers gain added funds to tend to their needs last year. All our efforts are in line with the call of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to provide the best service to the Filipino people,” pahayag ni Sec. Acuzar.
Nasa ilalim ng Short Term Loan Program ang Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) kung saan maaaring makahiram ang mga miyembro ng 80 percent ng kanilang Pag-IBIG Regular Savings na binubuo ng monthly contributions, employers’ contributions at mga naipon dibidendo.
Maaari din silang makapamili sa 24 o 36 – month payment term at may grace period na dalawang buwan bago ang unang payment. Meron itong interest rate na 10.5 percent per annum.
Sakop din ng short term loan program ang Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan, na available sa mga miyembro na nakatira at nagtatrabaho sa mga lugar na nasa state of calamity.
Sa kabuuan, P49.85 bilyon ay naibahagi para sa MPL na nakatulong sa 2,313,143 members. Samantala, P3.91 bilyon ang na-release ng Pag-IBIG Calamity loan para sa kanilang 299,348 na miyembro.
