Kinumpirma ng mga awtoridad na natagpuan na ang 22-anyos at Samar State University (SSU) education intern na si Darlene Uy matapos mawala ng halos limang araw.
Ayon sa ulat ng Catbalogan City Police, nakita si Uy sa tabingilog ng Antiao river malapit sa Catbalogan diversion road sa Barangay Calapwas kahapon (Marso 28).
Agad dinala si Uy sa Catbalogan Doctors Hospital para bigyan ng agarang medikal na tulong.
Patuloy ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng pulisya sa pagresolba sa dahilan ng pagkawala ng dalaga.
“While the Investigation is still ongoing to shed light on the cause of her disappearance. We assure the public and the people of Catbalogan City to remain calm and have faith in the authorities on doing their job,” saad ng Catbalogan PNP sa kanilang Facebook post.
“Rest assured that Catbalogan City Police Station will exert its efforts to uncover what transpired surrounding the incident,” dagdag nito.
Marso 23 bandang alas tres ng hapon nang huling namataan si Uy sa Catbalogan I Central Elementary School kung saan siya nagtuturo. Ito ay hindi kalayuan kung saan siya natagpuan ng mga awtoridad.
