Kinilala ang biktima bilang ang 24-anyos na si Leane Daguinsin, isang graduating student ng De La salle University (DLSU) Dasmariñas.
Ayon sa ulat, nadiskubre ng caretaker ng dormitoryo ang bangkay ng biktima bandang alas kwatro ng hapon matapos tanungin ng kanyang kaklase kung ito ay nasa kanyang kwarto.
Ayon sa direktor ng Cavite Provincial Police na si Col. Christopher Olazo, patuloy ang isinasagawang pursuit operation ng pulisya sa mga person of interest sa nangyaring pagpatay.
Pagnanakaw ang tinitignang motibo ng awtoridad sa nangyaring pamamalaslang.
Samantala, nag alok ng kabuuang pabuyang P600,000 sina Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr. at Cavite Governor Juanito Victor Remulla upang mabilis na matukoy ang taong pumatay sa biktima.
