Kinilala ang isa sa mga kambal na nasawi bilang Nursiya Taring habang inaalaam pa ng pulisya ang pagkakakilanlan ng kanyang kapatid.
Bahagya naman sugatan ang driver ng truck na kinilala bilang Banny Molina Martinez Jr., 26 anyos.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. Paul Andrew Cortes, public information officer ng Zamboanga City Police, pawang mga manggagawa ng isang canning factory ang mga biktima.
Base sa ulat, nakasakay ang mga biktima sa truck na pag mamay-ari ng kanilang kumpanya nang tumagilid ito matapos lumiko sa isang pababang kurbadang kalsada. Bumangga ang kanilang sinasakyan sa isang bahay.

Agad na dinala sa pagamutan ang mga biktima subalit idineklarang dead-on-arrival ang kambal.
Ayon kay sa hepe ng Zamboanga City Medical Center na si Dr. Afdal Kunting, anim sa 26 na biktima ay kinailangan i-admit sa ospital, habang ang iba naman ay pinayagan nang umuwi ng kanilang bahay matapos gamutin ang kanilang mga galos.
