Sampung bilanggo ang pumuga sa detention facility sa Malibay Substation 6 sa Pasay City madaling araw ng Lunes Santo, April 3, 2023.
Nang makalabas ang tatlong pugante, binugbog ng mga ito ang duty officer, kinuha din ang baril, pera at susi ng isa pang selda kung saan nakatakas din ang pitong iba pang preso.
Agad nagsagawa ng manhunt operation ang mga operatiba ng Sub-Station 6, Intelligence Unit, SDEU, IDMS at iba pang police Sub-Stations sa Lungsod ng Pasay.
Nahaharap sa iba’t ibang mga kaso kabilang na ang pagnanakaw, carnapping, at paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 ang mga nakataas bilanggo.
Sinibak naman sa pwesto ang commander ng Malibay Police Station PMaj. Jerry Sunga, matapos ang insidente.
Sa manhunt operation, naaresto ang kanina ang dalawa sa sampung preso na nakatakas.
Nakilala ang mga ito na sina Joey Hernandez at Eden Garcia na kapwa nahaharap sa kasong illegal drugs.
