“Honestly, I didn’t expect it. I was overwhelmed by it I’m actually recovering from my injury and I think that’s one of my motivations also to be 100% when it comes to the SEA Games because of that responsibility as well,” saad ni Valdez.
“You don’t wanna go there if you are not 100% so that’s my motivation. And honestly, I’m happy to be not just to be the captain, but to be part of the national team,” dagdag pang sinabi nito.
Makakasama ni Valdez ang anim na teammates nito sa Cool Smashers na sina Jia De Guzman, Tots Carlos, Ced Domingo, Michele Gumabao, Jema Galanza, at Kyla Atienza.
kukumpleto naman sa 14 –women national team sina Mylene Paat, Kat Tolentino, Kath Arado, Gel Cayuna, Glaudine Troncoso, Dell Palomata, at Cherry Nunag.
Ayon naman kay Ramon “Tats” Suzara, Presidente ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation, “These teams are composed of perhaps the most formidable rosters to date with each and every one of these athletes dedicated and determined to rise to the challenge in Cambodia,”.
“With the skills given and dedication to flag and country considered, our coaches put a premium on chemistry, on how these players would blend based on the competitions and challenges of the SEA Games,” dagadag pang sinabi ni Suzara.
