Pinag-aaralan ng Department of Justice na ituring na terorista si suspended Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr.
Ayon sa pahayag ni Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla noong Lunes maituturing na “act of terrorism” ang nangyaring pagpaslang kay Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo.
Dahil dito, pinaplano ng DOJ na ipa-designate si Teves sa Anti-Terrorism Council bilang isang terorista.
Giniit ni Remulla na ito ang paraan upang mapilitang umuwi at sumuko si Teves para harapin ang kaso laban sa kanya.
Samantala, sa isang panayam kay Teves kasama ang kanyang abogado na si Franklin Topacio noong Lunes ng hapon, inilarawan ni Teves na “nakakatawa” ang mungkahi ni Remulla na ituring siya bilang terorista.
“Ang pakiramdam ko sa totoo lang nakakatawa na. Nagiging perya na siya. It’s becoming to be a circus. Paano ka magiging terorista kung hindi ka pa nga nakakasuhan,” sabi ni Teves.
Natatakot aniya siya na maging biktima ng “foul play”.
Muli ring inulit ni Teves na hindi ito kumbinsido na kaya siyang proteksyunan ng mga pulis at sundalo.
