Ipinahayag ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Central Visayas chief Attorney Renan Oliva ang pagbabanta ni Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves na kasuhan siya at ang mga tauhan niya kapag itinuloy nila ang pagraraid ng operasyon ng ‘e-sabong’ sa Cebu.
Dumalo si Oliva sa ikatlong araw ng pagdinig ng kaso sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at walong iba pa upang isalaysay ang akusasyon nito laban kay Teves.
Ayon kay Oliva, pinagbintangan sila di umano ni Teves na nagnakaw ng pitong milyong piso sa sabungan nito sa Minglanilla, Cebu, kasabay ng operasyong kanilang ginawa sa nasabing lokasyon kung saan inaresto nila ang dalawang tagapamahala ng sabungan at 37 trabahador matapos silang mahuling nagli-live stream ng sabong.
“He (Teves) said he will sue my men for stealing P7 million at the cockpit. He continues to say he will spare me from the case if I make it negative of any incoming operation against e-sabong,” aniya.
Sinabi din ni Oliva kay Teves na mamarapatin nilang sagutin na lamang ang akusasyong isasampa sa kanila, kaugnay nito ay inalmahan din nito ang ibinabato sa kanilang pagnanakaw ng pera sa nasabing raid.
Nabanggit din ng asawa ng yumaong gobernador na si Mayor Janice Degamo na sangkot din si Teves sa ilegal na operasyon ng e-sabong at Small Town Lottery (STL).
