Gusto na umanong i-terminate ang kontrata ng NLEX Road Warriors ang kanilang bigman JR Quiñahan matapos mag-trending ang isang video kung saan ay makikitang sinuntok ng PBA player ang isang foreign player nitong linggo, April 23, sa Carmen Cebu.
Posibleng multahan ang mga players na sina Quiñahan, Jio Jalalon, Robert Bolick, at Beau Belga ng nagkakahalagang P50,000 dahil sa paglaro sa isang liga na unsanctioned ng PBA.
Hindi lang nahaharap sa multa si Quiñahan kundi possible pa itong matanggal sa kaniyang mother team na NLEX.
Ayon sa isang souce na nanggaling sa Inquirer, sinabi na nakatanggap sila ng reports na naglalaro na ito simula pa noong February.
“We have been receiving reports that he has started playing (outside of NLEX) since February, though we never confirmed that because all the while, he was saying that he was injured, and we continue to pay his salary in whole,” saad ng isang source galing Inquirer.
“We will rescind his contract on that basis.” Dagdag pang sinabi nito.
Ayon naman kay PBA Commisioner Willie Marcial, ipinagbabawal ang paglalaro ng mga players sa mga ligang labas dahil meron silang kontrata at posibleng mainjured ang mga ito.
“We allow players to join these games as long as they were allow[ed] by their teams, If not, they’ll be in big trouble.” Saad ni Marcial.
