Arestado ang isang sundalo sa Amerika matapos itong mag-apply ng trabaho bilang hitman sa isang killer-for-hire parody website.
Ayon sa ulat ng TheGuardian, nagsumite ng kanyang application para sa nasabing trabaho ang Tennessee air national guardsman na si Josiah Garcia sa RentAHitman.com nitong Pebrero.
Ang naturang website ay nilikha noong 2005. Ito ay orihinal na binuo upang mag advertise ng isang cybersecurity company. Gayunpaman, nakaakit ito ng ilang katanungan tungkol sa “killer-for-hire services” kinalaunan.
Dahil dito, nagpasya ang administrator nito na gawing parody website ang Rent a Hitman. Ito ay binago at nilagyan ng mga pekeng testimonial, application form para humiling ng mga serbisyo, gayundin ng form upang maging hired killer, ayon sa TheGuardian.
Makailang ulit daw nag follow-up sa email ng naturang website si Garcia. Sinabi nito na naghahanap siya ng trabaho na malaki ang kita upang masuportahan niya ang kanyang anak.
Inilahad din ni Garcia na kaya nitong bumaril at magpagtumba ng target buhat ng kanyang karanasan bilang isang sundalo.
“What can I say, I enjoy doing what I do, so if I can find a job that is similar to it, (such as this one) put me in coach!” wika ni Garcia.
Nitong Abril, isang undercover ng Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) ang nagpanggap na “field coordinator” ng Rent A Hitman ang nakipag ugnayan kay Garcia.
Nagkita ang dalawa sa isang park kung saan binayaran ng $2,500 o P140,000 si Garcia para sa isang “target package”. Inaresto ng mga awtoridad si Garcia matapos ang positibong transaksyon.
Ayon sa attorney’s office for the middle district of Tennessee, maaaring mapatawan ng hanggang 10 taon sa bilangguan si Garcia kung ito ay mahahatulan sa kanyang pagkakasala sa korte.
