Nangangamba si Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes dahil sa posibilidad na mangyari nanaman noong huling Southeast Asian Games ang kakulangan ng players.
“Just like last year, we were practicing with certain number of guys and then just before we left, all of a sudden, Bolick couldn’t make it, Kevin Alas couldn’t make it, Japeth got injured in the finals.” Saad ni Reyes.
“Hate to say it but here we go again,” dagdag pang sinabi ni Reyes.
Bukod kina Jamie Malonzo at Mikey Williams na hindi makakapaglaro dahil sa personal matters, dumagdag na rin sina June Mar Fajardo at Roger Pogoy na hindi makakapaglaro sa SEA Games dahil sa natamo nilang injury.
May posibilidad din na hindi makapag laro sina Scottie Thompson at Japeth Aguilar dahil nakatakdang manganak ang asawa ni Thompson sa kasagsagan ng SEA Games habang si Aguilar ay may MCL injury pa rin na kailangang tutukan.
Sa huli ay sinabi ni Chot Reyes na mag fofocus sila sa kung sino ang available para mag laro sa SEA Games.
“We just have to deal with the cards that are dealt with us,” sabi ni Gilas Pilipinas head coach.
