Tinuligsa ni dating NBA champion turned analyst Richard Jefferson sina Ja Morant at Dillon Brooks ng Memphis Grizzlies matapos matalo ang kanilang koponan sa Game 4 kontra Los Angeles Lakers sa NBA Playoffs.
Ayon kay Jefferson, tila naging duwag ang dalawa matapos hindi mag-pakita sa media ng dalawang beses nang matalo ito sa lakers.
“You can’t talk the talk and then not walk the walk. … If you’re not going to talk to the media after two straight games, that to me is cowardice. And I don’t believe either of them are cowards,” Saad ni Jefferson.
“When you struggle, that’s when you show your true character. After talking the talk, you can’t avoid the media.” Dagdag na sinabi ni Jefferson.
Sa huli ay sinabi ni Jefferson na magkaroon ng lakas ng loob na harapin ang media at naniniwala ito na hindi sila ‘cowards’.
Matatandaang naglabas ng statement ang dalawa na tila kumpyansa sila serye West Conference series at playoffs.
Ayon sa isang interview ni Morant noong nakaraang taon, sinabi nito na “I’m fine in the west”.
Ayon naman kay Brooks tungkol sa pagkakatapat niya kay LeBron “I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”
