“We found out that the flood stays for 6 months so the group decided to establish a floating garden. A series of activities was eventually conducted,” wika ni Romer S. Amante, project leader ng DA-CARAGA.
“The residents now have been planting vegetables. The floating garden has a big benefit for us unlike those times when we do not have one,” wika ni Brgy. Sabang Gibong Chairman Felipe Goloran.
“Aside from our consumption, we can sell, and give those who do not have something to buy,” dagdag nito.
“We were just piloting Sabang Gibong for the prototype of sustainable livelihood projects in Agusan Marsh. We’re planning to replicate it in the other areas of Agusan Marsh,” ani Amante.
