Expanded coverage at benepisyo para sa mga miyembro ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHILHEALTH) nakatakda nang simulan ayon sa acting President at Chief Executive Officer (CEO) na si Emmanuel R. Ledesma Jr.
Kasama sa kanilang ipatutupad ang pagdaragdag ng outpatient hemodialysis session at magiging 156 na ang bilang ng mga pasyente mula sa dating 90.
“Sa pamamagitan ng expanded coverage na ito para sa outpatient hemodialysis, masusuportahan na po natin ang buong tatlong sessions kada linggo sa loob ng isang buong taon. Ibinase po ng PhilHealth ang increase na ito batay sa standards ng adequate dialysis na nangangailangan ng tatlong 4-hour sessions per week para sa stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients,” paliwanag ni Ledesma.
Sinabi rin ni Ledesma na patuloy ang ahensya sa pagpapabuti ng kanilang serbisyo para mas maging accessible at convenient ito sa maraming filipino. Kabilang na ang pagpapalakas ng Philhealth Konsulta Package at paglulunsad ng mobile app na makakatulong sa mga miyembro.
“Ang PhilHealth Konsulta Package ay primary care benefit na maaaring magamit para sa basic services tulad ng check-up, health screening and assessment, laboratory, x-ray, at gamot,” saad ni Ledesma.Samantala una ng sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa PHILHEALTH na idagdag na rin ang outpatient mental health package at outpatient therapeutic care package para sa severe acute malnutrition sa mga bata na limang taong gulang pababa.
