Nakaraang Abril, sa ikalawang beses ay nakumpiska ang mga paninda at sidecar ng sidewalk vendor na si Michelle Loresca matapos magkaroon ng clearing operation ang Brgy. Bangkal sa siyudad ng Makati.
Mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ng Dept. of Interior Local Government (DILG) ang pagtitinda sa mga sidewalk sa Metro Manila.
Ayon mismo kay Michelle, March 29, 2023 nang unang makumpiska ang kaniyang sidecar at mga paninda sa Brgy. Magallanes. Ibinalik ng Barangay kay Michelle ang kaniyang sidecar matapos mangakong hindi na ito muling magtitinda sa sidewalk.
Sa kasamaang palad ay hindi tumupad si Michelle sa kaniyang kasunduan sa Barangay. Kaya muling nakumpiska ang kaniyang sidecar at mga panındang chichirya, itlog, sigarilyo at softdrinks.
Sumbong ni Michelle sa BITAG, maayos siyang nakikiusap sa Barangay na ibalik ang kaniyang sidecar at mga yanında. Subalit imbes pakinggan ay pinagsalitaan siya ng masama ng peace and order officer ng Brgy. Magallanes.
Ipinaliwanag ni Ben Tulfo kay Michelle, na ang batas ay dapat sinusunod at hindi binabalewala. Maaaring kumuha ng permit ang sinumang vendor sa Barangay at pumuwesto lamang sa tama’t pinahihintulutang lugar.
“Kapag sinabing bawal, bawal lalo na kung may utos ang DILG. Madaling makiusap at manghingi ng konsiderasyon pero kung paulit-ulit ka lang na lumalabag ay mali na ‘yun.Handa kaming tumulong pero hindi pwedeng magamit ang programa namin sa paglabag sa batas,” payo ni Tulfo sa nagrereklamo.
Sa programang #ipaBITAGmo sa telebisyon, muling nangako si Michelle na hindi na siya magtitinda sa sidewalk.
Samantala, tumbling naman ang BITAG na mabawi ang mga nakumpiskang paninda ng vendor na si Michelle.
