Tinaguriang bayani ang isang 13-anyos na estudyante sa Michigan matapos nitong ilayo sa kapahamakan ang kanyang mga kaklase nang mawalan ng malay ang kanilang school bus driver.
Nasa 70 na estudyante ang nasagip ng Lois E. Carter Middle School student na si Dillon Reeves matapos nitong kunin ang manibela at kontrolin ang kanilang sinasakyan mula sa nahimatay na driver.
Sa video na inilabas ng mga awtoridad nitong Huwebes, makikitang matagumpay na inihinto ni Dillon ang school bus gamit ang hand brake at nasagip ang kanyang mga kaklase mula sa peligro.
“We are very proud of you for your heroic actions!” wika ni Warren Councilman Jonathan Lafferty sa kanyang Facebook post.
“This young man jumped into action when his school bus driver experienced a medical emergency, bringing the bus to a stop and avoiding what could have been a very tragic accident,” dagdag nito.
Labis naman ang pagmamalaki ng stepmother ni Dillon na si Ireta Reeves sa ginawang kabayanihan ng binatilyo.
“He is home and everyone is okay all thanks to Dillon!” ani nito. “He has no idea the amount of people who are so proud of him today.”
