Mga Vape users at sellers, watch out!
Tiniyak ng pamunuan ng Philippine National Police na kanilang tutugisin ang sino man na magbebenta ng vape o e-cigarette products sa mga kabataan.
Mismong si PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. ang nagsabi na makikipag-ugnayan sila sa mga magulang at school officials para matiyak ang pagpapatupad ng Republic Act 11900 or the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act.
“Bigyan natin bilang pagpopoprotekta na rin sa ating mga kabataan lalo sa mga school places and public places, ipapatupad natin yung RA (Republic Act) 11900 lalo na yung paggamit ng mga vapes and electronic cigarettes pati na rin yung mismong sigarilyo para sa kalusugan ng karamihan and this will be emphasized in public places lalo na sa mga eskwelahan,” ani Acorda.
Sa ngayon ay ipinag-utos na ni Acorda ang pagkalat ng mga kapulisan para magkaroon ng police visibility sa mga public places lalo na sa kapaligiran ng mga eskwelahan.Sa Section 9 ng RA 11900, ang pagbebenta, promotion, advertising at product demonstration ng Vaporized Nicotine at Non-Nicotine Products o mga Novel Tobacco Products within 100 meters ng lugar ng eskwelahan, playground o iba pang mga facilities na pinupuntahan ng mga menor de edad ay ipinagbabawal.
