Nagtataka si TNT Tropang Giga big man Poy Erram kung bakit hindi ito nakatanggap ng tawag mula sa national team management kahit na kasama ito sa 28-man pool.
Ayon kay Erram, hindi naman ito nagpahayag na hindi muna siya makakapaglaro para sa national team.
“Hindi naman ako nag-beg off,” saad ni Erram.
“Hindi ko din talaga alam bakit ganun. Waiting pa din naman ako baka mamaya biglang mag-message.” Saad pang sinabi nito.
Ayon naman kay Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes, sinabi nito na hindi makakapag-laro si Erram sa SEA Games upang maka-recover sa kanyang knee surgery.
Kahit na hindi makakapag-laro ang mga big man katulad ni Fajardo, Aguilar, at Erram sa SEA Games ay may sapat pa ring big man si Reyes na mapagpipilian kina Christian Standhardinger, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, at mga college standout na sina Mason Amos at Michael Phillips.
Sa ngayon ay nasa Calamba, Laguna na ang national team para sa puspusang ensayo para sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games na mangyayari sa May 5 hanggang May 17 sa Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
