Isinugod sa ospital ang 75 mag-aaral sa elementarya matapos makalanghap ng nakakasulasok na insecticide nitong Miyerkules ng umaga (April 10) sa bayan ng Upi, Maguindanao Del Norte.
Nakaramdam ng paghihilo, pagsusuka, at pananakit ng tyan ang mga estudyante matapos makapasok sa kanilang silid aralan sa Mirab Elementary School.
Ayon kay Mayor Rona Piang-Flores ng bayan ng Upi, isang magsasaka ang nag spray ng insecticide sa isang coconut plantation sa likod ng eskwelahan.
Idinagdag pa ng mayor na nasa mabuting kalagayan na ang mga estudyante ngunit kailangan pa rin i-monitor sa ospital, ayon na rin sa mga doktor na tumingin sa mga estudyante.
Ayon naman kay Dr. Mohammad Ariff Baguindali, hepe ng Integrated Provincial Health Office, sinabi nya na ito’y kaso ng chemical inhalation. Sa huli ay ipinagutos ni Mayor Flores na imbestigahan ang insidente at inatasan na rin ang municipal social welfare office na magbigay ng tulong sa mga apektadong bata at kanilang pamilya.
