Pormal nang sasampahan ng kasong murder si suspended Rep. Arnolfo Teves, Jr., sa Deparment of Justice (DOJ).
Ito ang ibinunyag ni DOJ Secretary Crispin Remulla Miyerkules ng umaga (May 17).
“It’s ongoing right now. The NBI is here already and I was told by NBI Director Medardo de Lemos that they are coming over to file the complaint,” ani Remulla.
Ang kaso ay may kinalaman sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at siyam na iba pa sa kaniyang bahay noong March 4.
Kahapon ay ipinahayag ni Remulla na may plane tiket na pabalik ng Pilipinas si Teves na sinasabing namalagi sa Timor Leste.
Ito naman ay tahasang itinanggi ni Teves sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang abogado na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio na nagsabing “fake news” umano ang balita.
Ngunit sinabi din ni Topacio na balak na din umuwi ng Pilipinas ni Teves para harapin ang mga paratang laban sa kaniya.
