Hindi man mababawi ng Pilipinas ang kontrol sa ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, dapat pa din na bantayan ang kinikita nito.
Sa kaniyang Bitag Live program, sinabi ni Ben Tulfo na importante ang lagyan ng limit ang kikitain ng NGCP kung saan halos karamihan ay Chinese ang nagkokontrol.
“Dapat gamitin ng pamahalaan, ito po importante. Maglagay po ng cap o limit sa kita ng sino man ang papalit sa NGCP. Importante po yun,” ayon kay Tulfo.
“Alam niyo po kasi ang ginagawa po nito, gatasan po yung Pinas, ang laki po ng dibidendo, kita po nila. Ang liit lang po ang ibinabalik sa gobyerno,” dagdag pa ni Tulfo.
Sa ginawang senate hearing ng Committee on Energy Miyerkules (May 24), natuklasan ni Senator Raffy Tulfo na malaking bahagi ng kita ng NGCP ay napunta sa dibidendo ng mga stakeholders noong 2014, 2015, 2017 at 2019.
Sa P22.5 Billion na kita ng NGCP noong 2015, nasa P21 Billion o 93% ang napunta sa shareholders. 22 Billion ang kita ng NGCP noong 2014 ngunit 24 Billion ang ibinigay nito sa shareholders.
Noong 2017, P20.6 Billion ang kita ng NGCP, P19 Billion (92%) ang kinubra ng shareholders habang P15 Billion o 74% ng net income na P20.3 Billion ang naging dibidendo.
“Bantayan ng media itong mga porsyento na ilalaan para sa reinvestment, reinvestment sa mga upgraded na teknolohiya,” ani Ben Tulfo.
