Patuloy ang aktibidades ng Mayon Volcano kaya naman inaasahan ang pagputok nito anumang araw mula ngayon.
Ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), lalong dumarami ang mga rockfalls at ground deformation o pamamaga ng bulkan.
Kaya naman ngayon pa lang ay sinisimulan na ng mga kinauukulan ang pagpapalikas sa mga residente papalabas ng 6-kilometer danger zone.
Kahapon, Huwebes ay itinaas na ng Phivolcs ang Alert Level 3.
Sa panayam ng ANC kay Phivolcs Director Teresita Bacolcol, iniulat nito na nadoble na ang rockfalls sa Mayon mula 98 noong June 7 hanggang June 8 na ngayon ay nasa 199 rockfalls na sa nakalipas na 24 oras.
