Tiniyak ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na sapat ang kanilang supply para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng residente na maapektuhan ng pag-aalboroto ng Mayon Volcano.
Ayon kay DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, handa silang magbigay ng food packs sa mga apektadong pamilya na aabot ng 45 days.
“Instructed by President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos na siguraduhin na ang preparation ng gobyerno lalo na ng DSWD ay in place ,” ani Gatchalian sa isang press briefing.
Ani Gatchalian, aabot sa 102,000 family food packs (FFP) ang naka-posisyon na sa Bicol at kapalit na mga probinsiya.
“There are 60,000 in Albay and the 42,000 FFPs are in neighboring provinces that we can easily pull out. We are still stockpiling so it is easy to get. The DSWD is ready to make sure the needs will be supplied in terms of food by affected evacuees and residents. The President’s instruction is to ensure that no one is hungry in different evacuations,” saad ni Gatchalian.Sa ngayon ay patuloy ang pagmo-monitor ng mga kinauukulan sa mga kaganapan sa Mayon Volcano.
