Posibleng umabot sa 33,000 ang bilang ng mga evacuees kung lumala pa ang sitwasyon ng Mayon Volcano.
Ito ang ibinalita ni Albay Governor Edcel Greco Lagman kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. nang personal nitong inalam ang sitwasyon sa lugar.
Sa proposal ni Lagman sa Pangulo, sinabi nito na hanggang 14 days lang ang kanilang kasalukuyang budget na P30 million. Kakailanganin umano ng budget na aabot ng 90 days sa halagang P196.7 million.
Ito naman ay pinapasilip na ni Marcos sa kaniyang gabinete.
“I think for now, we should be using 90 days as our working number for how much more that we have to support,” ani Marcos “The final figure of P196 million is something that we can dig…. I think the numbers the governor has given us are a good guide already. But we have to go into further details.”
Kasalukuyang nasa Alert Level 3 ang Mayon Volcano na dahan-dahan pero tuloy tuloy ang aktibidades ng mga pagsabog at pagbuga ng lava.
Ayon pa kay Lagman, obligado silang maglikas ng mga tao kung tataas sa Alert Level 4 ang Bulkang Mayon.
