Patuloy ang pagtaas ng mga evacuees sa Mayon Volcano.
Ayon sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), nasa 20,000 katao na ang napilitang lumikas sa iba’t ibang evacuation centers.
Sa panayam ng, nababahala si DRRMC spokesperson Raffy Alejandro ngayon na lumalaki ang bilang ng mga evacuees.
“The challenge really is how to maintain or manage the evacuation centers because this is where we might have problems… We have to prevent outbreaks of diseases, problems in terms of health and sanitation,” ani Alejandro.
Sa kabila nito tiwala si Alejandro na walang maitatalang casualty habang nag-aalboroto ang Mayon.“As long as nobody is inside the permanent danger zone, we don’t expect any casualty,” pagtitiyak ni Alejandro.
