Sa kaniyang pagbisita sa Valenzuela City Biyernes ng umaga, ibinunyag ni Marcos ang dahilan kung bakit wala pa siyang napipili bilang Agriculture Secretary.

Tila ayaw din maputol ni Marcos ang momentum niya bilang Agri chief, ang posisyon na kaniyang hinawakan noong pag-upo niya bilang Pangulo ng Pilipinas.
“Ngayon, more or less the prices of agriculture commodities are beginning, they have not yet been stabilized, are beginning to stabilize. Now, we are going to make the structural changes that are important to increase production, to ensure the food supply of the Philippines,” pahayag ni Marcos.
Nais din umano ni Marcos na may nakalatag nang sistema sa DA oras na may mapili na siya bilang permanent secretary ng ahensiya.”Ang aking hangarin para sa DA ay pag iniwanan ko ang DA, by that time, we will have systems in place so that we can guarantee the food supply of the Philippines, number one, we can guarantee that the prices are affordable, and number three, that our farmers make a good living,” ani Marcos.
