Nagsanib pwersa ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) at Philippine National Police (PNP) sa paghahatid ng tulong sa mga apektado ng oil spill mula sa lumubog na barko ng M/T Princess at ilang pag-atake ng grupo ng komunistang terorista sa Mindoro.
Kaisa ang PAGCOR sa dalawang programang inilunsad ng Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA sa pamamahagi ng mga food packs sa bayan ng Naujan, Bongabong Mindoro, at San Jose Occidental Mindoro.
Kaugnay nito, inilunsad rin ng ahensya ang “Serbisyong Pulis Sa Barangay” na naglalayon na maghatid ng tulong sa malalayong komunidad.
Pahayag ng Naujan Mayor Henry Joel Teves, marami sa kanyang kababayan na umaasa lamang sa pangingisda ang nawalan ng kabuhayan dahil sa oil spill kaya’t malaking tulong ang hatid ng PAGCOR at kapulisan.
Daing din ng village chief ng Barangay Sta. Cruz, Bongabong na si Amelia Pakig, kailangan nila ang iba’t ibang tulong upang makaraos sa kahirap na dulot ng oil spill at ilang insidente ng pagsalakay ng mga rebelde sa kanilang lugar. Nagpasalamat naman si Regional Community Affairs Development Division (RCADD) chief Police Colonel Adonis Guzman sa pakikipagtulungan ng PAGCOR upang magbigay serbisyo sa mga komunidad. Saad ni Guzman, “We’re very thankful that PAGCOR partnered with us in this noteworthy endeavor.”
