Magbubukas ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ng ruta para sa mga public utility vehicle (PUV) na malapit sa Philippine National Railways (PNR).
Magkakaroon ng tatlong ruta para sa mga PUVs para sa mga pasaherong maaapektuhan ng nagbabadya ng suspensyon sa PNR operations. Ito ay para bigyang-daan ang patuloy na konstruksyon sa North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR).
Batay sa Memorandum Circular 2023-020 na inilabas kahapon, ang tatlong ruta ay FTI-Divisoria via East Service Road, Alabang (Starmall) – Divisoria via the Southern Luzon Expressway (SLEX), at Malabon-Divisoria. Ang mga ito ay sinasabing under “qualification-process” na.
“The effect of the closure of these select PNR stations on commuters will be quite substantial, so through these PUV routes, we hope to lessen the impact of the closure,” ayon kay LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III.
Magtatalaga ng 30 na public utility bus (PUB) sa ruta na FTI-Divisoria, 25 na PUB para naman sa ruta patungong Divisoria mula Alabang Starmall at lima namang modernong mga jeep para sa rutang Malabon hanggang Divisoria. Magbabago pa rin ang pagtatalaga ng mga PUB units depende sa dagsa ng mga pasahero sa lugar.
Samantala, magsisimula ang suspensyon ng ruta sa Alabang-Calamba simula Hulyo 2. Habang ang suspensyon ng operasyon ng PNR ay tinatayang tatagal ng limang taon.
