Naglaan ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) ng P21B pondo para sa kanilang miyembro na may chronic kidney disease.
Mula sa 90 hanggang 144 sessions ay nadagdagan ng labing dalawa pang sessions ang mga pasyente na ngayon ay aabot na ng 156 sessions.
Ang bawat session ng hemodialysis ay nagkakahalaga ng P2,600 habang P374,400 ang halaga nito kung aabutin ng 144 sessions. Dahil sa bagong benipisyo mula sa PhilHealth, P405,600 na ang kayang kanlungan para sa hemodialysis ng mga beripikadong miyembro.
“Ngayong taon, simula ngayong araw, June 22, 2023, pinalawak na ng PhilHealth ang coverage para sa mga pasyenteng naghe-hemodialysis. Ito po ay 156 sessions na, so ito po ay batay sa PhilHealth Circular 2023-0009” saad ni PhilHealth Corporate Affairs Group Acting Vice President Rey Baleña nitong Huwebes sa nangyaring public briefing.
“Hindi na po mangangamba yung ating mga kababayan lalo na po yung kapos sa budget dahil covered na po ng PhilHeath yung kanilang standard dialysis requirement para po sa buong taon.”
Ayon pa kay Baleña, nagawang madagdagan ang budget para rito dahil sa dagdag na pondo mula sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR).
Ang benipisyong ito raw ay nagbibigay patunay na nakikinig ang PhilHealth sa mga miyembro nito. Patuloy din ang kanilang pag-aaral upang matugunan pa ang ilang pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino.
